PreventionTalKS

The Kansas Prevention Collaborative invites you to participate in PreventionTalKS, a monthly learning collaborative for members of community prevention and behavioral health promotion coalitions. This is an opportunity initiated by PreventionWorKS participants to help PreventionWorKS members and the Kansas Prevention Collaborative stay better connected between meetings and extend resource sharing.

PreventionTalKS will be offered on the first Thursday of each month, from 12:00 to 1:00 pm. Plan to register through the links distributed through communication by email, social media, and updates to this website.

PreventionTalKS include a 15-minute presentation on the topic of the month, followed by sharing of lessons learned and experiences from peers in coalitions throughout Kansas. Each webinar will end with time for questions and more discussion.

Prevention Initiatives at Wichita State University’s Community Engagement Institute will organize various webinars and training to be provided statewide by the Kansas Prevention Collaborative. The purpose of PreventionTalKS is to promote citizen education of behavioral health promotion and prevention, consistent with the role and mission of the Kansas Prevention Collaborative, statewide behavioral health integration efforts, and the Community Engagement Institute’s partnership with the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS), the Kansas Prevention Collaborative, and PreventionWorKS.

Please check our calendar for a detailed schedule of upcoming PreventionTalKS.
