Community Green Zone is the work of Dr. Alan Parsons Ph.D., and SSG Loran Osborne, USA (Ret.). It addresses the strengths and challenges of the Veteran population reintegrating into the community, basic communications & interaction, questions not to ask, military culture familiarization & public-friendly terminology, best practices for forming community partnerships, Veterans returning to school, volunteering with Vets, how an employer can best utilize Veteran-prevalent skill sets, Veteran healthcare & insurance, getting a Vet to seek help & where to send them, and a few other vital resources. It has been noted by state, county, and municipal administrators in multiple social service fields to be one of the most effectual and engaging cultural calls to advocacy and reintegration they have ever experienced. The model is purpose-built to surround Veterans with community and saturate communities with invested Veterans.

As it always seems to be, the journey to becoming an effective advocate can begin with a simple phone call or email. Before that email, it can be helpful to invest a bit of time researching and noting the resources and programs in your area tailored for Veterans, so that you can help us begin the footwork of a collaborative partnership. Contact (620) 331-3131 or losborne@fourcounty.com to begin researching the possibility of having a Community Green Zone in your area.
